  1. Some Speculation on Xe-HPG/DG2 Pricing: The top 512 EU SKU with 16 GB of GDDR6 cannot feasibly be $250 like some people are expecting. A major issue here is that GDDR6 pricing is completely wack right now.

      If you wanna know my realistic-ish guesses if Intel is fine with taking a margin hit for market share. 512 EU + 16 GB = $350-375 384 EU + 12 GB = $300 256 EU + 8 GB = $225-250 128 EU + 4 GB = $125 96 EU + 4 GB = $100

        Intel needs to make a splash if they want to succeed. If DG2 does relatively well, then only can they justify to shareholders that DG3 is worth it.

      GDDR6 = $12/GB => 16GB = $192 Die = $66-88 (Average, assumes N6 pricing is the same as N7) Other components like VRMs and vBIOS = $20-30 (I don't know true value so complete guess) Total = $278-310

        If Intel wants to gain any market share, this'll need to be less than $300, which is difficult given the circumstances. I'm skeptical N6 is the same price as N7 too, due to the 5 EUV layers. Also, component shortages might mean the last portion is much more expensive.

          Only time will tell if Intel is willing to take a loss, in order to become a proper competitor.
