  1. According to my aggregation, the IPC gains of the Cortex X2 over the Cortex X1 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 8i8 respectively are 1.7% in SpecInt2017 and 12.6% in SPECfp2017. FP IPC gain is decent, but Int IPC gain is utterly dreadful. SPEC scores courtesy of @anandtech.
