  1. SYCL will soon be challenging CUDA as the language for compute. Intel has been adopting SYCL with oneAPI/DPC++. Soon, Radeon GPUs will also get better support due to Codeplay (Source below) Xilinx FPGAs, Mali GPUs, PowerVR GPUs all also have support.

      SYCL will finally break the monopoly of Nvidia in compute with their proprietary CUDA. Compute will become more open as this open standard is used, and allow for easier heterogenous compute.
